Community Health Centre

Community Health Centres are non-profit, community-governed health organizations that provide primary health carehealth promotion and community development services, using inter-disciplinary teams of health providers.

A Community Health Centre for Lake Country

In cities across Canada - government agencies, public and private entities have partnered to provide a range of healthcare & wellness services in a single location.

What makes CHCs stand out, is their strong community focus and commitment to match services to the meet the unique and local health needs of individuals and families within.

Uniquely Local

Across Canada, each CHC looks a little different. Services in other centres often include public health nurses, mental health, dental clinics, addiction counsellors, speech therapists, nutritionists, drop-in health clinics and more.

Great plans in the making...

Since 1982, LCHPS has actively worked alongside community partners to promote, provide and advocate for accessible and quality health, wellness and social services.

A plan for centralized and expanded health services has been long in the minds of not only our board and staff but of many community members and partners.

Your voice was heard!

As we move towards a final concept for a CHC for Lake Country, our priority is to incorporate outcomes from community forums in which community members and partners helped develop and include the services and programs identified as valuable.  For more information or to find out how you can get involved in the process, please give the Lake Country Resource Centre a call or email
