Health Fair Vendors Wanted

Updated: Apr 22

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the June 6 event is cancelled.

As one of the fastest-growing communities in British Columbia, Lake Country has over 15,000 residents who are looking to make personal connections to health and wellness resources, services and opportunities.

“Very well organized. Mixing two events brought in a good volume of attendees." - Vendor 2019

Two Events Combined… A Star is Born!

In 2019, the Conquer the Lake Race and the Lake Country Health and Wellness Fair were combined to create one signature community event! And big things happened! Attendance records were shattered.   A community gathered. People ran ... or walked. Kids played. Information was shared. Fun was had. And money was raised in support of the Lake Country Health Resource Centre.

"In 2019, extra effort was made to bring this event to the next level! Record-breaking attendance was one result - a 163% increase!"- Event Organizers 2019

Extra efforts helped drive our success…

To move this event forward, extra effort was placed on vendor acquisition, volunteer recruitment, and event promotion and marketing. More vendors signed up and were encouraged to help promote the event through their contacts. Special activities were planned to attract a larger cross-section of visitors. Online posts had a reach of over 13K. As a result, we saw record-breaking attendance - almost 1100 people a 163% increase.

“What a great day with lots of things to do & see, really fun for everyone. I will be back!” - Participant 2019

Shattering previously set attendance records of 450 - almost 1100 people attended the 2019 Health and Wellness Fair!

The Lake Country Health Fair was developed to create connections to a healthier life. People from far and wide come together and celebrate the Okanagan lifestyle. Vendors will be able to educate about their services, promote products, display and distribute information, and meet a wide range of potential customers. “This event is designed to increase health and wellness knowledge and create connections to a healthier life,” said Corinne Remple, executive director for Lake Country Health Planning Society. “Often those connections are made best through personal contact.”

“Put on by a great group of people! Great opportunity to get to know businesses who may not have a storefront” - Participant 2019

Something for Everyone!

In 2019, fairgoers were met by 75 vendors and sponsors, a Kid’s Zone with interactive displays and activities, high-energy demonstrations, bounce and play, and a feature entertainer. Moms, dads, seniors, children and youth. Locals and visitors. Runners and their families. People who actively pursue a healthy lifestyle and others who are looking for ways to improve, or make connections. Curious individuals and keen community supporters. " We saw a great mix of people - from the Okanagan, across BC, and Canada and from as far as Columbia.
