Join the giving movement this Giving Tuesday
After the spending of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, give back to your community and be a part of the global giving movement on Giving Tuesday on December 3, 2019. This Giving Tuesday, support the work of the LCHPS team! As they endeavour to increase local health and social services - right here in your community - right where your neighbours, your friends and your family need them most.
Determination, commitment, and heart… Be part of the work!
Operating a nonprofit takes determination, commitment, and heart. It also requires operational funds - it costs something to deliver our mission to meet the needs of the community we serve. Individual contributions are vital to providing the infrastructure necessary to keep LCHPS running strong.
Your donation will provide the fuel to keep LCHPS running strong - in a very tangible way.
Corporate sponsorship and government grants funds are usually project-based and short-term. Finding funding to support the staff in the necessary day-to-day work is difficult. You can help! Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 to help fund core services. For example, connecting isolated seniors to volunteers, printing and distribution of community resource guides, and expanding hub hours to be available for local youth after 3:00. Your donation will provide the fuel to keep LCHPS running strong - in a very tangible way.

A Community Health Centre for Lake Country? We’re working on it!
LCHPS has been advocating for a community health centre since 2014. As we wait for the outcome of the feasibility study submitted to the Ministry of Health in June 2019, our work through the Health Hub will continue. Connecting visitors and callers to current and reliable healthcare information - and being the reassuring voice and face in a time of need.
Service Provision 2018-19:
1332 phone calls - 18% increase from 2017-18
517 hub visitors - 28% increase from 2017-18
509 rides arranged for elderly - 55% increase from 2017-18
** Since April 2019, the health hub/resource centre has already seen a 20% increase of inquiries and contacts for services.
