Our Volunteers are Putting the CRUNCH in LCHiPS

Without the precious contribution of commitment from LCHPS volunteers, so much of what must get done... would go undone!

In the spirit of this year's National Volunteer Week, we would like to give a massive shout out to all of the AMAZING volunteers here in Lake Country! Coast-to-coast-to-coast, Canada's almost 12.7 million volunteers are being celebrated for their commitment, dedication, generosity and selflessness. The theme this year, "It's time to applaud this country's volunteers," encourages all Canadians to loudly and proudly cheer for Canada's volunteers.

The people of Lake Country seem to have an unusually large willingness to give of their time and service. LCHPS staff have been touched by the number of people who have said "YES".

Lake Country's volunteers work tirelessly to achieve progress in our community. Giving their time in support of causes and programs they believe in, and asking for nothing in return. Without the precious contribution of hours of volunteering each month, so much of what must get done would go undone. Seniors would miss medical appointments and would sit waiting for calls that never come. Walkways and driveways of elderly neighbours would pile up with snow. Groceries at markets and food banks wouldn't make it to those in need.

"The people of Lake Country seem to have an especially large willingness to give of their time and service. We've been touched by the number of people who have said "YES" to our requests for creating additional vital essential services during this public health crisis.

We would like to thank you from both the members of the community that have been the direct recipients of your efforts. The staff at LCHPS would like to thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for all that you do! Your commitment to the Lake Country community continues to stagger us! The ideas, support and encouragement that LCHPS receives from our volunteers help inspire the work we do and have always been the heart of LCHPS.
