Our application process involves:


  • A volunteer interview

  • A Criminal Record Check (see below for link)

  • BC driving abstract and insurance(for drivers only)

  • A Confidentiality Agreement

about before making

a commitment:


  • What skills or experience do I have to offer?

  • What new skills would I like to acquire by volunteering?

  • How much of my time am I willing to set aside to be available for volunteering?

  • Do I want to commit to offering weekly support or am I looking to help once at a big event?

  • Can I keep my commitment?

Criminal Record Search


Completing a criminal record search is a necessary part of the LCHPS application process. 
  • Your application must be completed online. 
  • Please note, there is no cost for the volunteer CRC application.
  • If you do not have a CRC or it is expired or about to expire...  Please follow this link: https://justice.gov.bc.ca/eCRC/ 
  • Enter access code: TVW5EKCC28
  • If you currently have a CRC that is less than 5 years old, you can forward it to the LCHPS office by email to volunteer@lchps.com
